Chloé is an early-career actor and theatre maker currently based in Edinburgh. She has a history of performance in theatre, television and film as well as comprehensive training in physical theatre, dramaturgy, scriptwriting and more.
Chloé trained at the University of York, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance. This equipped her with knowledge surrounding, but not limited to: comedy, clowning, physical theatre, textual analysis, scriptwriting, directing, producing, sound design and dramaturgy.
Whilst studying at York, she chose to base her final year research on the politics of biographical history in modern day theatre (focusing predominantly on the hit musical ‘Hamilton’) and how biographical and autobiographical performance can shape a person’s narrative based on how they are perceived by the writer.
Prior to her University training, Chloé trained with Gecko Theatre’s Associate Director Helen Baggett at the New Wolsey Youth Theatre, who provided in-depth physical theatre training based on Gecko’s practice.
Having previously led workshops and classes for people aged 4-18, Chloé has a confident approach to working with young people, valuing both kindness and inclusion in the rehearsal space. She is open to receiving enquiries surrounding workshop assistance and facilitation, as well as providing support for local youth productions.
