Claudie ran Acting Up Youth Theatre and media company for over ten years solely on external funding, creating an inclusive and accessible performing arts provision for young people aged 12 to 25. Acting Up performed several plays and musicals, as well as two short film festivals and a very rewarding joint project with a local group for children with additional support needs. Claudie has taught weekly classes and one-off sessions with children as young as five, all the way to adults. She is experienced in working with neurodivergent children, asylum seekers, and those with English as a second language.
Notable productions: She is an active performer, acting under the stage name Claudette Baker-Park, and works regularly in film, TV and stage. She especially loves writing and performing comedy and has been asked to mentor film students at RCS.
Previous employers: As a freelance drama workshop facilitator, Claudie has devised and delivered sessions for numerous clients including the NHS, Plantation Productions, ENABLE, Youth Link, Pick ‘n’ Mix Theatre, Youth2Youth, G15 Youth Project and Argyll and Bute Council on a variety of issue based topics. She is a private acting and singing coach working with children and adults to learn new skills, polish their performance for auditions, or work on public speaking and interview technique (https://www.facebook.com/actingcoaching).
