Youth Theatre Arts Scotland (YTAS) is an in-touch and pioneering umbrella organisation which supports, connects and inspires youth theatre participants and the adults who work with them. The post of Sector Development Manager (formerly known as Learning and Engagement Manager) offers you the opportunity to join a hardworking and high-achieving small team, and to drive the work of YTAS and our sector forward.
We are looking for someone who loves talking to, listening to, and supporting others, and who is motivated by making connections, building relationships, and creating opportunities.
As Sector Development Manager your role will require you to work well on your own initiative and collaborate with multiple project partners and all members of the YTAS team. Your workload will involve planning and delivering the training and professional development strand of our work. This includes events and projects such as Interchange (our training and networking event for Scotland’s youth theatre workforce), our National Festival of Youth Theatre, and a year-round learning and engagement programme.
In 2020, YTAS became a permanently remote-working organisation. All staff work from home. We are also a flexible-working organisation and aim to enhance staff wellbeing by supporting those we employ to balance their work and life responsibilities. We also encourage our staff to take opportunities to learn, grow, and develop in their roles.
