Perth Theatre and Concert Hall are seeking a Main Stage Assistant Director for their 2023-24 Perth Youth Theatre production of Antigone by Sophocles. They are looking for an early or mid-career Director to deliver this project, with the support of our Learning & Engagement team.
The successful candidate will have a clear creative vision for directing Antigone and be willing to work collaboratively with the Assistant Director. You will have a supportive and collaborative approach to working with young people, and a passion for placing the work of Perth Youth Theatre on a par with the rest of our main stage programme. You will be able to attend weekly rehearsals at Perth Theatre (full dates in the Job Description), check in regularly with the Learning & Engagement team and attend regular virtual Production Meetings.
Status: Fixed term, part-time
Fee: £5,400 (36 days @ £150 per day, including 29 days rehearsal (including production week), and seven days admin).
