Royal Lyceum Theatre Company

Young Ensemble Training Course (ages 18-25)

Venue: Grindlay Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9AX
Price: £90

Work with a professional director, over the course of eight weeks to develop your performance skills, with a specific focus on ensemble and devised practice.

The Young Ensemble Training Course has been designed as a series of alternative training opportunities for those aged 18 to 25, and would be suitable for individuals who are interested in a career in theatre: including those moving back into acting after a break, those fresh out of drama school or those wanting to work on their performance skills before applying for drama school.

Weekly classes will look at various areas of acting, performance, and theatre-making and will be built around the needs and wants of the group. We anticipate workshops in devising, improvisation, monologue and characterisation. It will be a safe space to hone your theatre-making abilities while developing new skills and methodology along the way.

This course has been designed as part of The Lyceum’s Young Adult programme, a new initiative to build working relationships with young adult actors.

Dates & Times 3 October – 28 November 2023, Tuesdays: 5.30pm – 7pm

Price £90
