Inter Performing Arts Scotland presents Fame the Musical, the exhilarating stage adaptation of the iconic 1980 film. Packed with energy, heart, and unforgettable music, it’s a vibrant celebration of ambition, identity and the power of young voices.
This bold new production features a remarkable cast of Inter students – some of Scotland’s most exciting emerging talent – stepping into the iconic roles of the students at New York’s legendary High School of Performing Arts. Bursting with high-octane dance, dynamic storytelling, and showstopping numbers, Fame the Musical invites audiences to follow a group of young performers as they chase their dreams, confront personal challenges, and discover what it truly means to find their voice.
* Opening the performances is a specially commissioned 30-minute pre-show from Inter’s Junior students called Lights, Camera… 80s! Written and directed by Derek McGhie, this joyful, nostalgic tribute to the decade that inspired Fame is packed with colour, character, and sheer 80s energy.
