Framework are thrilled to present the inaugural Blueprint Programme. Designed to specifically target skills gaps for emerging theatre-makers who are at the very, very beginning of their careers.

Blueprint is a series of free, bespoke and high quality workshops for a selected group of 12 emerging artists.

Selected artists will attend six workshop sessions with industry professionals, receive one-to-one support sessions from the Framework Team and join a cohort of some of Scotland’s most exciting emerging artists. Access & Travel Support is provided; this will be discussed with selected participants but can include childcare support or other costs that you may incur to attend the programme.

They are looking for 12 emerging theatre-makers from any discipline, from anywhere in Scotland, aged 18 or over, who are right at the beginning of their careers and need support to make the first step into professional theatre-making.

The Programme:

Workshops will be run by leading industry professionals and the Framework team. They will include:

● Welcome to the Theatre Industry
Writing Applications, marketing yourself and your work, finding opportunities.
● Professional Production Processes
How do you make a show? From development through to production.
● Intro to Funding in Scotland
How do you apply for funding? How much do you need? How do you manage it?
● Intro to Industry Admin
The Logistics: Freelancing, Invoicing & Taxes.
● How to Network
How to network slowly.
● Making It Happen
Managing your time, valuing yourself, & knowing where to focus.
● 2 x Support Session 1-1 with the Framework Team
Helping you to find your next steps, focus your energy and seek advice.

Sessions will run on Fridays from the 19 September – 17 October 2025 inclusive (both online and in-person, travel and accommodation will be provided).
