For ages 8 – 17

Led by emerging playwright and performer Sophie WInk (Vivid Roots), A Play in a Day is an exciting opportunity to learn the process of theatre making by working as a group to put together a play from start to finish in one day. 

Throughout the day, participants will be guided through the process of storytelling, collecting ideas, dialogue and basics of scriptwriting, casting, props/costume design sound performance 

Finally, at the end of the day, the group will get the chance to perform the short play to an audience. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for any young people with a passion for drama and performance to learn about the process of theatre making in a fun and lively creative setting. 

This will take place at the Summer Sessions Festival Site at Rosebank Playing Fields in Wick. 

Free but booking required. 

Note: There will be no food on site so if you are planning on staying all day then please bring lunch. The day will be split into two sections with a break for lunch from 12 noon – 1.30pm.
