This course provides an introduction to the Meisner acting technique. Developed by American actor Sanford Meisner, the technique is built around three tenets; emotional preparation, repetition and improvisation.

Students will engage in practical exercises, exercises to be prepared at home, and scene work.

By the end of the course students will:

– have a firm understanding of the Meisner technique and how to use it in their work
– have learnt improvisation skills
– have flexibility in their acting
– be more instinctive and create a more honest performance

This course is suitable for students aged 18+, with no or little experience. Students should be keen to learn and plan to attend all classes.
