This online course provides an introduction to the techniques of acting practitioner Konstantin Stanislavski. Considered the father of naturalistic acting, Stanislavski’s system has been helping generations of actors achieve truthful performances.
With a focus on creating realistic, believable characters you will work through a series of Stanislavski’s techniques and exercises including script analysis, character objectives, physical actions, developing the imagination, listening and observation. There will also be references to more modern practitioners of Stanislavski’s work including Uta Hagen, Stella Adler and Mike Alfreds.
A great introduction for participants interested in developing their naturalistic acting skills in an encouraging and supportive environment.
