Join Culture for Climate Scotland on Mon 3 February 2025, 2pm-3.15pm, for an inspiring session about best practice knowledge and discussions to help you improve sustainability engagement with your audiences.
About this workshop
For this session, a representative from Indigo will be the main speaker. Indigo is an organisation that specialises in helping cultural organisations connecting with audiences. They will provide baseline knowledge and key findings from their latest report, Act Green 2024. Additionally, they will facilitate an exercise to help participant practice their approach to the topic.
This workshop will also showcase the practical experience of cultural organisations that have successfully engaged with their audience on sustainability. They will welcome Robyn Wolsey, Community Economies Manager at ATLAS Arts, who will share her experience from a smaller cultural organisation perspective. She will talk about embedding audience engagement on sustainability throughout both their projects and their roles within the organisation. Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) will also contribute with their experience from a larger organisation perspective.
Why should I attend?
To learn more about audience engagement and sustainability for cultural organisations, to get inspired and how to take action within your cultural organisation after this session.
What’s on the agenda?
They’ll start by sharing baseline knowledge and key facts about the topic, before diving into some practical insights. This event will also feature a breakout exercise to practice and reflect on the topic. This session will require some active engagement, but it will be possible to simply listen in. There will be time for questions and answers. They will record this event.
Audience Engagement and Sustainability is part of a series of workshops designed for Scottish cultural organisations, especially their Green Arts Initiative members and signatories to the Green Arts Charter. Previously, they hosted a workshop on digital carbon emissions, one on climate justice and aviation and another on sustainable green touring for Scottish cultural organisations.
Do you need support to attend this event?
They know that it’s sometimes difficult for everyone to attend because of unintended barriers. They want to make any necessary adjustments to our events so that no one is excluded. These adjustments will, most likely, differ from event to event so they need your help to get it right. Please inform them of your accessibility requirements for this event during the Eventbrite registration process or get in touch by email at romane.boyer@cultureforclimate.scot.
