Are you passionate about performing, directing, writing, music, filmmaking, or something else creatively inclined? Are you a young artist (age 16-30) from Dumfries & Galloway and Ayrshire or do you live there currently? Performance Collective Stranraer are inviting artists from all creative backgrounds to apply for their sixth residential development lab.
WHAT THEY ARE OFFERING:
Performance Collective Stranraer are inviting artists from all creative backgrounds to apply for their sixth residential development lab. This will take place in a location in Dumfries and Galloway (TBA) from Thu 16 – Sun 19 February 2023.
The lab involves bringing young artists together for a weekend of workshops, and the opportunity to create or develop original pieces of work. Artists will delve into various creative styles and practices, gain new skills, and explore their own talents. Over the weekend, they aim to combine the creative styles and interests of the attending artists to develop a new project or performance, all while learning new ways of making!
The labs are run by PCS Artistic Director, Sarah Rose Graber, and Artistic Associate, Drew Taylor-Wilson.
The Labs cost nothing to the participants. You are provided travel, accommodation, and food free of charge. Though we aim to ensure artists arrive by car, we can also provide route and travel information for those using public transport. More information on previous labs here: https://www.performancecollectivestranraer.com/lab-programme.
