Youth Theatre Arts Scotland are hosting a session with our Fundraising Consultant, Phyllis Martin from Truffle Pig, to discuss how to leverage an effective crowdfunding campaign.

Crowdfunding is a great income source and awareness-raising tool, with Creative Scotland’s Crowdmatch currently offering to match gifts that you secure from your supporter base. And just like any fundraising tool, successful crowdfunders have a structure.
In this session, Phyllis will take group leaders through the process, so if you have a great idea for a campaign and aren’t sure where to start, or have seen other people’s successful crowdfunders and want that for your group, join us to get the lowdown.
This session will share real life crowdfunding knowledge and advice on common pitfalls to help you decide when, where, and how to run your campaign. We’ll take you through the building blocks of a successful campaign, with time throughout to ask questions and tailor your crowdfunding plans. We’ll cover…
- how to use the Crowdmatch platform (for CS match funds) and other options
- what campaigns to consider
- what income goal to have and how to fill it
- timeframe and workload
- identifying suitable rewards to offer (number, type, cost, fulfilment)
YTAS members get this session for free as part of their membership. The cost for non-members is £10, but you can also see our membership page to join as a member.
