Creativity Conference: UHI Moray

Venue: St. Giles Church, Elgin Town Centre

UHI Moray and Moray School of Art warmly welcome creative practitioners, artists, educators & those from their local communities to join them for a day of discussion on the topic of ‘creative regeneration’.

Those engaged with arts and culture, and those keen to hear more about the importance and contribution of arts and culture to the reinvigoration of town centre’s and communities, may find this event particularly appealing.

The conference is free to attend with booking essential; refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day. The morning focus will be ‘People’, and the afternoon focus will be ‘Place’.

Free parking is available at UHI Moray, which is a five minute walk to the venue

9.15am-9.45am: Registration & Breakfast
9.45am-10am: Welcome – Stacey Toner, UHI Moray
10am-10.30am: Keynote Speaker – Vicky Johnson, Director, Centre for Remote & Sustainable Communities
10.30am-12 noon: Workshop – Community & Collaboration: The Moray Culture Collectives

12 noon – 1pm: Lunch

1pm-1.30pm: Keynote Speaker – Malcolm Innes, Director, Centre for Island Creativity
1.30pm-3pm: Workshop – Creative Placemaking: Findhorn Bay Arts, Deveron Projects & The Stove Network
3pm-3.30pm: Break
3.30pm-4.30pm: Panel Discussion – HIE, M:ADE, Moray Council, TSI Moray
4.30pm-4.45pm: Close

7pm: Optional: Degree Show Preview, Moray School of Art, UHI Moray
