Edinburgh Acting School’s EAS Youth classes are a safe and fun environment for children and young adults from P5-P7 to S1-S6 to grow in confidence through acting.
What’s it all about?
They look to encourage, while challenging all our students. They explore a range of different dramatic techniques, character building, role play, improvisation, storytelling, performance confidence, communication and artistic skills.
They also will look at screen & stage acting, puppetry, interactive engagement, mime, props and costume making, stage make-up, devising and creating. They work alongside our students helping them bring to life stories that they will create.
In doing so, they will specifically focus on characterisation, improvising from stimuli and experimenting with different physical and vocal techniques. They will also look at classical texts and learn about practitioners and how their styles have influenced the arts industry today.
August – December 2024 Term: Development: looking at different styles and practices
January – June 2025 Term: Stage Performance resulting in a public performance.

P5-P7 Class: 4pm – 5.30pm
S1–S6 Class: 6pm – 8pm

P5-P7 Fees: £230 (can be paid in two instalments of £115)
S1-S6 Fees: £300 (can be paid in two instalments of £150)
