Join Even Us on Fri 22 November 2024 for an inspiring and interactive online networking event designed specifically for early career creatives from the islands.

Even Us is hosted by Bronwyn Mackenzie from the Isle of Lewis and Hannah Wooldrage from Orkney, and is part of #EvenHereEvenNow, a campaign to highlight island-based artists’ vital contribution to Scotland’s cultural landscape.

Whether you’re in undergrad education, a new graduate, early career, self-taught, if you’re practicing from an island, from an island originally and working on the mainland, have spent significant time on the islands – this event is open for all to join in the discussion.

This two-hour session on Zoom will explore the unique challenges and opportunities faced by early career artists across various disciplines, including Fine Art, Performance, Design, Poetry and Music.

The event will feature engaging discussions, breakout sessions, and opportunities to connect with fellow creatives from across islands. Participants will delve into a manifesto addressing common barriers, share personal experiences and celebrate the unique aspects of island-based Practice.
