As part of Toonspeak’s Creative Labs programme, Glasgow-based 18-25 year olds are invited to a workshop combining theatre making with songwriting on Sun 26 October 2025 which will be led by director, composer, and playwright Andy McGregor.

In this playful, hands-on workshop, you’ll collaborate with the other attendees to devise scenes and explore storytelling through song. With guidance from Andy, you’ll experiment with lyrics, musical ideas, and theatrical techniques to create songs rooted in your own stories and then devise scenes around these original compositions.

You don’t need to be trained in music or singing; this is a workshop focused on creative development, so just bring your curiosity, imagination and energy. It’s a chance to discover new ways of expressing yourself and bring your ideas to life through music and theatre.

The workshop will take place from 12 noon – 3pm at Townhead Village Hall, 60 St Mungo Avenue, Glasgow, G4 0PL.
