C&BS Head of Board Development, Catriona Reynolds, takes new trustees and Board members through their paces in two information-packed, hands-on online sessions.

Over the two online sessions, you’ll explore:
• duties of charitable trustees/board members
• different roles and responsibilities of board members and staff
• meeting management and decision-making
• advocacy and fundraising responsibilities
• the trustee’s role in strategic planning
• understanding the finances
Who is it for?
New trustees and Board members seeking an introduction to their roles and responsibilities. Each session will be a blend of slide presentation, practical exercises carried out in smaller groups, and whole group feedback and discussion.
A reading list, with all material available online, is provided in advance of each session to give you background information on different topics. Copies of any exercises will also be sent out in advance so that you can read them and, where appropriate, print them out before taking part.
