Are you a new trustee, or looking to refresh your Board governance skills? This essential course is designed to launch your journey or refresh your governance skills with confidence.

Led by Culture & Business Scotland’s Head of Board Development, Catriona Reynolds, this information-packed online session equips new trustees and Board members with the practical tools they need to succeed from day one.

Using a combination of expert slide presentations with practical, small-group exercises and whole-group discussions to ensure active learning you will learn:
– duties of charitable trustees/board members
– different roles and responsibilities of board members and staff
– meeting management and decision-making
– advocacy and fundraising responsibilities
– the trustee’s role in strategic planning
– understanding the finances

This course is aimed at new Trustees and Board members seeking a comprehensive introduction to their roles and responsibilities.
