LGBTI and Disability Equality Awareness Training sessions are a professional development opportunity for Lyra’s staff and freelancers in the youth arts sector on Thu 30 March 2023 at Lyra, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT.
The day will run from 10am – 6pm and consist of two training sessions with a lunch break in between:
10am – 1.30pm LGBTI Awareness Training delivered by Scottish Trans
2.30 – 6pm Disability Equality Training delivered by Birds of Paradise Theatre Company
Both sessions will give an overview of the subject areas as they apply across sectors and will be followed by a facilitated discussion to relate the learning to Lyra’s specific youth arts context.
These training opportunities are funded by the City of Edinburgh Council Local Cultural Festivals and Events Fund. Youth Theatre Arts Scotland have provided funding to pay freelancers to attend the training day – each freelancer attending will receive a payment of £100 for the day.
