Are you aged between 14-25 and involved in running and supporting workshops in your youth theatre? Join our Workshop Assistant Exchange!
Are you interested in meeting other young leaders in similar roles from across the country? Join our Workshop Assistant Exchange group to:
- Have fun and connect with each other
- Exchange skills, ideas, and challenges
- Reflect upon and share your views on the youth theatre sector’s needs
This is our first workshop! We will be meeting this time for a virtual workshop to reconnect after the holidays, share skills and bring our creative manifesto to life in preparation for Youth Theatre Arts Scotland’s National Convention of Youth Drama. Don’t worry if you haven’t been involved before now, new faces are always welcome!
The YTAS sector training programme is supported by funding from the Gannochy Trust and Creative Scotland.
Why are we doing this?
Many youth theatres across Scotland have paid or volunteer young leaders acting as workshop assistants or advocates to support their work – just like you! We know that you have a unique insight into the current challenges and benefits of youth theatre, as you are both current participants and junior leaders. We want to give you a stronger collective voice in the development of your groups and help you to connect with other young people in similar roles across the country.
Bursaries
We at YTAS are aware of the current financial struggles that the sector is facing. We would like to remind you that bursaries are available to any YTAS Member who requires financial support in order to attend one of our training courses, and will cover any fees associated with the training.
