Surge is offering a free two day training course in Directing Outdoor Arts projects.

Outdoor Arts Director Training
Application Deadline: Sun 5 November 2023, 5pm

They are interested in hearing from emerging outdoor arts directors, or emerging and established indoor theatre directors who are interesting in directing and developing projects outdoors, particularly in a community context.

What the training offers:
• Learning how to direct using outdoor spaces and environments
• Directing techniques to create new outdoor work
• Techniques for working with diverse community groups in outdoor contexts
• Practicalities of designing and directing outdoor work

Requirements:
– a background/ some professional experience in directing indoors or outdoors
– an interest in learning skills to direct outdoors
– experience in working with community groups/ participants outdoors

Dates of training: Mon 20 – Tue 21 November 2023, 10am – 5pm
Location of training: Surge office in central Glasgow
