Creative Lives and V&A Dundee are co-hosting a free open event on 1 October 2024 to support volunteer-led and grassroots creative groups in Dundee and its surrounds, and to celebrate and promote creativity in the area.
Using a design-led approach, they’ll explore and capture the needs, barriers, and opportunities of local voluntary-led creative groups. The aims are: to find, value, and celebrate creative groups; to provide capacity-building opportunities; and to establish sustainable and effective ways to support grassroots creativity in the long term. They’ll also discuss current challenges such as funding, spaces, membership, sharing knowledge, and promotion.
Leaders and members of grassroots and/or established creative groups are warmly invited to join them. They’re especially interested in hearing from groups who represent or support members with protected characteristics.
