Join Together (Scottish Alliance for Children’s Rights) for an interactive online training workshop that will support you to develop your understanding of the UNCRC and how to implement the five principles of a children’s human rights approach in your work and organisation.
The UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024 brought important children’s rights protections into law in Scotland, and taking a Children’s Human Rights Approach is crucial to ensure that children’s rights are implemented in practice.
The workshop aims to equip attendees with:
- An understanding of a Children’s Human Rights Approach
- How they can consider children’s rights in their work
- Knowledge of the five principles of a Children’s Human Rights Approach
- Ideas for how to implement the five principles in their working practice
- Resources for further study
You do not need any prior children’s rights knowledge to attend this course. All attendees will receive a participants pack to get familiar with materials in advance of the session.
