Brought to you by Get Into Theatre and ATG Creative Learning, Work in Theatre is a nationwide careers programme to improve access to theatre careers for young people and emerging artists across England, Scotland and Wales.
The Teacher Conference 2024 offers online CPD for teachers, educators and those who work directly with young people. It will explore the myriad of modern careers available within the professional theatre industry and the varying routes into it so you can offer the best advice and support for your aspiring students, complement careers services in school and deliver informed and dedicated theatre-careers lessons for young people.
Participants should expect:
• Engaging guest speakers and panellists from across the theatre industry and further education settings, representing the different routes into the industry and tackling the questions often asked by young people.
• A Work in Theatre teacher toolkit, packed with lesson plans and resources to support learning back in the classroom.
• Up to date and Informed knowledge on the different educational and non-educational routes into the industry.
• Gain confidence in discussing professional theatre careers with students, young people and their guardians.
• Access to a teacher’s resources space.
• A chance to network with educators across the country and share best practice.
Celebrate UK National Careers week and bolster your industry knowledge by joining Get Into Theatre, ATG Creative Learning, industry guests (to be announced shortly) and educators nationwide, in this one-off digital conference on Mon 4 March 2024, 4.30pm-7.30pm.
