A week long program for young people interested in working in the theatre industry for anyone aged 14-18 years old.
Learn from industry professionals about what it takes to get into roles such as costume, wigs, hair & make up, technical production, front of house, acting & directing. Participants will get the chance to experience these job roles in practical workshops, talks, Q&As as well as a chance to see live theatre and hands-on work experience. This week falls alongside Dear Evan Hansen performances so the young people will get the chance to see the show as well as hear from some of the production team working behind the scenes.
Schedule TBC for the week and approximate times will be 10.30am – 4pm with a later finish on show days:
• Tuesday – Backstage Tour and Q&A from Playhouse technical team
• Wednesday – Special Effects Make up & Shadowing Front of House matinee
• Thursday – Dear Evan Hansen Technical Production workshop & Directing Workshop
• Friday – Cast of Dear Evan Hansen Acting workshop & Marketing workshop
• Saturday – Set Design workshop & Watching performance of Dear Evan Hansen
