Youth Theatre Arts Scotland are hosting a bid-clinic on the Youth Arts Open Fund with our Fundraising Consultant, Phyllis Martin from Truffle Pig.

The purpose of the Youth Arts Open Fund is to support freelance artists or organisations seeking small amounts of funding to deliver arts activity for children and young people – primarily those who have traditionally found it hardest to access such opportunities.
This bid clinic is for any freelance artists or organisations planning to apply. Phyllis will run through each of the questions on the form, and give you time, space, and a sounding board to help you articulate your ideas… you can come ready with a draft application, just some ideas, or anything in between!
The session will help you identify if the fund is a good fit for your activity, carve out some prep time ahead of the deadline, and generally improve your fundraising skills.
While YTAS have no influence over the outcome of the fund itself, Phyllis’ 20 years’ experience in the trenches of arts, youth, and community sector fundraising perfectly equips her to offer practical, realistic guidance.
Join us on Thursday 9 July at 10.30am – plenty of time before the Youth Arts Open Fund’s deadline on Tuesday 21 July!
We’d also recommend reading the Fund Guidance from YouthLink Scotland before attending the session.
