Bursary: Regional Hubs

What: Bursaries are available to any YTAS Member, who requires financial support in order to attend a Regional Hub event, and will cover any fees and/or expenses associated with the training.
Status: Open for applications

Thanks to funding from Creative Scotland, the Gannochy Trust, the Macrobert Trust, the Foyle Foundation, the People’s Postcode Trust, the Stafford Trust, the Hugh Fraser Foundation and the JTH Charitable Trust, we are delighted to be able to offer bursary places to attend our Regional Hubs.

Bursaries are available to any YTAS Member, who requires financial support in order to attend a Regional Hub event, and will cover any fees and/or expenses associated with the training. You are welcome to submit an application for multiple sessions at a time.

Our Regional Hubs are an annual programme of CPD and networking opportunities for YTAS Members and the wider Scottish youth theatre sector.

What does the bursary provide?

The bursary will cover your attendance fees, providing you with a funded place for the training session. We will also consider applications to cover travel, childcare or access costs up to £100 (for a half-day) or £200 (for a full day) of YTAS training.

Who can apply?

Bursaries are available to any YTAS Member. If you are not yet a YTAS member and would like to become one, please visit our membership page for further information and to join.

How do I apply?

If you would like to apply for a YTAS Regional Hub Bursary, please complete the form (linked below), ideally at least three weeks ahead of the event you would like to attend. If you would like to apply for the bursary to cover the cost of your training, please ensure to complete this form instead of the Eventbrite booking forms linked in the event listings.

The application form will ask you to outline which event(s) you would like to attend and to give a brief explanation of how the experience will benefit you.

How many funded places are available?

There are 15 places available across the programme. Bursaries will be allocated on a first come first served basis, until funds run out, so we encourage you to request your places as early as you are able to.

How will I know if I have been successful? What happens next?

We expect to be able to let you know the outcome of your application within two weeks of submissionOnce you have submitted your application form a member of the Youth Theatre Arts Scotland team will contact you to discuss the details of your application and/or obtain any further information required.

If your application is successful, we will then book you into the session(s) requested and you will receive a confirmation email with all the information you need ahead of the event.

Please try to allow at least three weeks before a Regional Hub to request your bursary. However, if the event you wish to attend is taking place sooner than that, send us an email to info@ytas.org.uk or call 0131 538 0591 to speak with a member of the team.

Evaluation

After the Regional Hub, we will ask you to complete a short feedback form – this will help us to feedback to our funders who have made the bursary possible, as well as to help us plan future training programmes.

I have more questions!

Please email info@ytas.org.uk with any questions you might have and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
