Nichole Cook

Location: Edinburgh
One of the most exciting things about youth theatre is being able to have a space to belong, be free and play! That's what Nichole loves to bring to youth theatre sessions. During university, in 2015, Nichole, along with friends, set up The Regal Youth Company in Bathgate. Nichole learned first hand how rewarding it can be to run a volunteer youth company, with all of its highs and lows! The group devised, collaborated and created together and Nichole is happy to still be involved as a freelancer. Nichole trained with Frantic Assembly in 2017 on a residency for young people in London and graduated from QMU with BA(Hons) Drama and Performance 1st Class, specialising in contemporary performance, devising and physical theatre and community theatre and ethics in socially engaged art. Currently, Nichole is a member of the National Youth Theatre after training on their Epic Stages course in 2019. Nichole loves to bring to youth theatre sessions: movement and physical theatre, devising and storytelling and creating space to fail.
Notable productions: 'Project 404' - The Regal Youth Company, co-director. Performed at NFYT 2017. FYT NT Connections 'The Changing Room' - Movement and Choreography.
