Aberdeen City Council are launching a new Culture Investment Programme from 2025 and are seeking expressions of interest at this time to assess potential demand and inform application processes.
From 2025, The Culture Investment Programme will replace the Council’s current grant schemes for arts and culture. At present Council funding supports a diverse range of activities, ranging from the day to day operations of large cultural organisations and venues across the city to small scale projects delivered by individual artists.
The new programme will build on the strengths of these long running programmes, retaining support for project and revenue funded activity but will open opportunities to a more diverse range of organisations to support development and capacity building. The programme will provide funding opportunities for both creative individuals and organisations based in Aberdeen.
The new criteria and application process is currently being developed before it is formally approved and launched in Autumn 2024. At this stage they are seeking input from both the sector and the public to clarify the level of demand for support and to inform the priorities and aims of the final Programme.
Expression of Interest
In order to assess the level of demand for funding support in 2025 an Expression of Interest process has been introduced. Any organisations that are considering applying to the new programme for support from 2025 will need to submit an Expression of Interest form in the first instance.
The first deadline for submission is 8 July 2024. Expression of Interest Form and guidelines available at the Aberdeen City Council website.
