Aberdeen City Council’s Creative Learning team are recruiting freelance creative practitioners with experience of using creative processes to engage and consult with young people on innovative planning projects.
Building resilience, confidence, and creative learning skills, the practitioners will support the development of a group of Young Ambassadors leading to the presentation of a a youth led engagement event during the Aberdeen Easter Holidays on 8 – 12 April 2024.
Young Ambassadors Programme Outline:
This project will initially run from March 2024 – April 2024 to deliver a youth led event during the second week of the Aberdeen School Easter Holiday 8- 12 April. It is anticipated that the development of the Young Ambassadors will run beyond this period. Sessions will be weekly, with intense support and delivery between 8 – 12 April.
The Programme will take place at The Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen.
You will be working to develop the Young Ambassadors group, providing artist-led training and skills development, supporting the group to connect with other youth led initiatives in the city and supporting the delivery of UNCRC Article 12 through an interactive creative process.
Freelance Creative Practitioners Fee:
Lead Artists – eight days @ £200 per day = £1600 total fee.
A small materials budget will be available for Easter project. Please note, there is NO additional budget available for travel or accommodation.
