Aberdeen Performing Arts is looking for proposals for Light The Blue 2024, their multi-artform festival that celebrates the creativity of young people aged 3-25. This year’s festival will take place from 8 – 16 June 2024 across Aberdeen with a programme of theatre, dance, music, visual arts, film and more.
They’re committed to creating a relevant, inclusive and inspirational festival that represents the diversity of young people in the city and beyond. They’re looking for ideas that put young people’s voices above anything else and professional work that offers a unique experience to young audiences. Put it simply, they want to hear the most exciting ideas and support you to make them a reality.
They are looking for proposals for live and digital pieces to be presented on Sat 8 June 2024 and/or Sat 15 June 2024 and are currently programming for two strands:
1) Young Performer Programme – for groups and organisations with a majority of participants aged under 25, as well as independent performers aged under 25.
2) Professional Artist Programme – for professional artists who create work for family and teenage audiences.
