Firefly are seeking dynamic and passionate practitioners to join their pool of freelancers. This is an exciting opportunity for emerging youth arts artists to assist in weekly drama sessions.
Location: West Lothian (specific location dependent on assigned group).
Position Type: Freelance/Sessional Work (As Part of a Pool of Artists).
Rate: £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Alongside the Lead Artist, plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and creative weekly drama sessions.
• Lead young people in exploring theatre and drama while fostering teamwork and self-expression.
• Oversee the creative process of group projects, ensuring all participants feel supported and valued.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants.
• Report to Firefly’s Artistic Director.
What They’re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people, ideally in creative or educational settings.
• A strong interest or background in theatre, drama, or the arts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable and able to commit to weekly sessions.
• Flexibility to join our pool of artists and be contacted for upcoming work.
• Ability to travel to and from session locations.
