Beacon Art Centre’s Young Company, invite writers to get in touch to pitch their portfolio, to create new work in 2025 with their Young People.

Beacon Young Company are a diverse youth theatre group based in the town of Greenock, Inverclyde. They make and perform a variety of theatre projects in their home theatre, Beacon Arts Centre. They are a collaborative group who are excited to work with a writer on a new piece of work.

Beacon Young Company want to create a piece of work portraying teens in a positive light. Showcasing positive queer relationships and representations of young people. They want to work with a collaborative, innovative writer who is committed to working with us to create an exciting play with young people at its heart. They look forward to hearing your interests, your previous work and why you want to collaborate on this new project with them. We are excited to discover and embark on this new project together.

Contract – Freelance
Commitment – six days
Fee – Freelance fee of £900
