Creative Scotland are offering four subsidised spaces for Life on Mars, a live international creative lab in Bologna, Italy on 13 – 16 October 2022 and online. The delivery partners are Creative Scotland, Liv.in.g (IT), Kultura Nova Foundation (HR) and On The Move (BE).
The Creative Lab will include presentations by international keynote speakers plus action research to explore new approaches to international cultural cooperation. They will consider the challenges and opportunities that have emerged in recent years such as digital transformation, sustainability, and welfare. Prior to the live event in Bologna there will be an online interactive seminar on environmental sustainability delivered by Creative Carbon Scotland on 26 September 2022.
Life on Mars is for professional artists, creative practitioners, cultural professionals and researchers. Life on Mars has a capacity of one hundred people. The working language is English. Fees are €300 for representatives of an organisation and €250 for independent practitioners (VAT included). The delivery partners will select delegates to ensure a representative balance across sectors.
Creative Scotland will offer four subsidised spaces for Life on Mars. Selection for these will be based on how strongly applicants answer the questions below.
They want to know:
• what your practice is
• why you want to participate
• what you could bring to the creative lab
• confirmation that you have the capacity to undertake all activities, including possible future international working
Creative Scotland will prioritise practitioners at a middle (minimum five years’ experience) or established stage of their professional careers. They’ll tell you the results of your applications by email on 15 July 2022. Applications for self-financing places will remain open until 20 July 2022.
