Creative Scotland: Theatre Officer

Creative Scotland are looking for a Theatre Officer to join their Arts & Engagement Team, and support their work in this area.

You will provide support for the growing number of artists, practitioners, producers, and organisations working in contemporary performance, especially those working across disciplines to challenge the boundaries of artistic models, form and creative practice.

You will assess and make recommendation on a range of funding applications and projects as well as lead on several different projects.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working in theatre and related artforms, such as live-art, dance, and contemporary performance. They will also have knowledge of the creation, presentation, and touring environment for this type of work (both nationally and internationally), including festivals, venues, and agencies.

You should be able to demonstrate your ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a range of external partners at various levels. Strong interpersonal skills and team working, the ability to develop and establish partnerships both at home and abroad, and a commitment to our core values are all essential. An overview of the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland would be advantageous.

Contract: Fixed Term until 31 October 2023
Hours: Full time (36 hours per week)
Salary: £30,750 pro rata plus pension and benefits
