Cutting Edge Theatre are recruiting a male identifying Drama Assistant, working with their learning disabled Youth Theatre and Young Company members.
Cutting Edge Theatre is delighted to be able to consolidate and expand our work with disabled young people and, as part of that work, they are recruiting some new positions. Whilst this position is for a male identifying assistant, they will also be recruiting other assistant positions at a later date.
They have a very successful Youth Theatre for learning disabled young people aged 13 – 17 years old. They are about to recruit the second cohort of learning disabled young people aged 18 – 25 for our three-year, part-time training Young Company where they study acting, movement, voice and acting for camera, amongst other skills.
This position will work with the Associate Artists who run the Youth Theatre and Young Company and be responsible for the following:
* Support the young people in the groups and aid their learning
* Support the Associate Artists in the running of the groups
* Be involved in the practical arrangements for the groups
* Running registration, warmup and drama exercises.
Rate of pay is £20ph. Edinburgh based.
Youth Theatre runs on Tuesdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm | Young Company runs on Fridays 4.30pm – 6.30pm
