East Ayrshire Leisure are seeking a Development Coordinator who has enthusiasm and passion for contributing to the development of East Ayrshire’s Youth Theatre.

Your enthusiasm and passion for contributing to the development of East Ayrshire’s prestigious Youth Theatre will be vital for improving the enjoyment, health and wellbeing of children and young people. Contributing to the provision and design of innovative and modern productions and programmes, you will enhance opportunities for our children and young people to flourish by maximising capacity and becoming a thriving, customer-focussed service.

Key tasks and areas of responsibility are outlined below:
1. Designing and developing engaging drama workshops and theatre programmes for various age groups, incorporating a range of theatrical styles
2. Leading and co-ordinating workshops and rehearsals, providing instruction, guidance and creative support to young participants
3. Overseeing the production process for performance, including play selection, casting, rehearsal scheduling, customer and set design
4. Liaising with technical, front of house and marketing to ensure a seamless production
5. Have key responsibility for risk assessments and safe working practices In addition to all Health & Safety processes outlined within the Job Description
6. Provide communications for social media messaging and also contribute ideas and content for website and newsletters
7. Assist in developing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating programmes
8. Maintain successful and productive partnerships that will have a positive impact on the service particularly with local and national providers such as:
• East Ayrshire Council
• Community groups and schools

Part time (17.5 hours/week), temporary until 31 May 2026.
£15.75 – £16.78 per hour
