Triple Act Theatre & Arts are excited to announce their new Emerging Artist Residency as part of Year of Stories 2022, funded by North Ayrshire Council Participatory Budgeting and Museum Galleries Scotland Community Stories Fund.

They are inviting freelance early-career, emerging artists of any discipline; age 18-35 who are originally from or have a strong connection to North Ayrshire to apply. This is an exciting opportunity to design, develop and deliver an effective and impactful participatory community arts project in North Ayrshire.

This is a paid opportunity to work with Triple Act over August and September to enhance your confidence in delivering community workshops and projects, build on your creative and coordination skills, and engage with the local community, combatting social isolation, and addressing the creative needs of your chosen target group.

The project will be delivered in September with the month of August being a supported period of development with the participant gaining advice and support from the Triple Act team and one-to-one mentoring from the director. The exact timeframe of project development is as fluid as the participant requires as they understand the need for individuals to work around existing commitments and schedules.

Applicants should submit a CV (no more than two A4 pages) and project plan detailing their idea for delivering a participatory arts project or workshops in line with their chosen artform. The plan should be no more than three A4-pages and must include a project budget up to £600. Alternatively, applicants may submit a short video or audio recording talking about their project idea alongside their project budget and CV. Hours: Hours are flexible and to be mutually agreed upon by artist and Triple Act
