Staged for Life is a unique training programme for 18-25 year olds to learn skills in operating sound & lighting equipment for live events. Supported work placements at various Edinburgh Fringe Festival venues are offered to those who complete the course, enabling participants to gain meaningful industry experience.

Running for two weeks (Mon-Fri), the next course starts on 14 July 2025 at Edinburgh College’s Granton Campus. This programme is funded by Edinburgh City Council, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and Edinburgh College and is free to take part in. No previous experience is required, just an interest in events and the right attitude.
