Framework Theatre: Early-Career Theatre Producer

Framework Theatre are looking for an early-career producer to join their team on a part-time basis.

If you are a producer who is passionate about creating opportunities for early-career theatre-makers and prioritises access, care and fair work, then this is the job for you.

This is a great role for someone who has a small amount of producing experience, knows that producing is a key part of their career trajectory and is looking to grow that in an organisational setting.

Essential Skills & Experience:

– Producing experience at least one production or event as lead producer (this may be in a Fringe or student context)
– Strong communication skills, written and verbal
– Strong administration and organisational skills including technical and I.T. skills
– An enthusiasm for the Scottish theatre landscape and an understanding of the challenges early-career artists face
– Experience of budget management (this may be in a Fringe or student context)
– Strategic thinking and understanding of working within organisational priorities
– Initiative to problem-solve and make change within the industry
– Friendly, collaborative and thoughtful approach to producing

Desirable Skills & Experience:

– Experience of recruitment (this includes in an unpaid capacity, such as running your own scratch night or unpaid casting call)
– Awareness of accessible working and best practice
– Awareness of the funding landscape in Scotland (Open Fund for Individuals / Organisations, Multi-Year Funding)

Salary: £11,000 (£27,500 per annum pro rata at 0.4)

Working Days: Two days per week (0.4 contract), one of these must be a Monday.

Workplace: They have a small office in Musselburgh where you would be welcome to work, or you can work remotely. Different members of their team do both, and are currently based in Musselburgh, Glasgow and Nairn. Please note, the Producer should be based in Scotland full time.

Terms: They offer flexible working (when possible), six weeks holiday (pro rata) and a 5% pension contribution.
