Theatre trips are not just for young people. YTAS also want to take YOU – the artists, practitioners, leaders, assistants – to the Fringe!  

We know that seeing theatre is such an important part of the creative process but that tickets are not always affordable. This year, YTAS want to help you to see more shows.  

PRACTITIONERS DAY OUT | Fri 9 August (daytime) Fri 23 August (evening) 
Artists and Leaders of all level and experience are invited to join the YTAS team for your own daytrip. You have two occasions in August to join YTAS and 12 other artists to see a show, have a drink and chat about the work. These informal events are a great way to meet other artists and to see work that you might not have otherwise booked for yourself.  

LGBT WORKING GROUP DAY OUT | Fri 16 August
A chance for LGBTQIA+ practitioners to come together for a live working-group session as YTAS continue to develop our LGBT Toolkit… followed by – you guessed it – a show and drinks!  

MANAGERS DAY OUT | Thu 22 August 
For those of you who are running your business, department or company, come along for a catch up with your peers. This is a chance to check in with YTAS about any concerns, ideas and developments, exchange ideas with colleagues and then relax with a show and drinks.  

Places for all days will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so sign up quick using this form. Discussion groups for the Managers and LGBT Practitioner days out will take place in a central Edinburgh location and you’ll be sent agendas in advance.  

You will be asked to select your preferred date and to let us know if you have any access needs. Travel bursaries and child-care support are available for anyone who needs it. Shows will be booked in July at times that allow for travel in and out of the city.
