To lead on the delivery of Glasgow Connected Arts Network’s Youth Arts Programme.
The Coordinator will support and grow The Bold Collective, run youth-led events, projects and provide training and placement opportunities. The Bold Collective is a forward-thinking committee dedicated to amplifying the voices of young artists and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. Through their diverse range of initiatives they strive to create inclusive spaces where creativity flourishes and artistic aspirations soar.
As the Youth Arts Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role by providing young people with opportunities to showcase their work, connect with peers, and be inspired by established artists. You will coordinate mentoring, offer guidance on career progression, and facilitate pathways into the arts for aspiring talents from diverse backgrounds.
They support work which celebrates our differences, promotes equality and improves access to the arts for marginalised groups. They support work which extends the reach of Artists and Organisations to communities that do not have adequate access to the arts with a focus on sharing learning with others and working together. They will develop guidelines, share learning and reach communities where there is low provision of creative activities. They seek to bring people together to promote and develop Participatory Arts programmes. They actively support Artists and Organisations to work with each other and communities through partnership initiatives.
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £31,130 FTE (pro rata three days)
Term: Nine months fixed term. 1 April 2024 – 31 December 2024
Location: Hybrid (home working and from their base at Civic House)
