Responsible for the management, development and delivery of children’s and young people’s work at the Theatre Royal, and for running the Guild of Players Youth Theatre
The oldest theatre in Scotland (est.1792), refurbished and expanded in 2015. Owned and run since 1960 by the Guild of Players (Charity SC001963).
They are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join the small paid staff team, working alongside the Board, Theatre Director and dedicated volunteers. The Education and Youth Engagement Director will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of children’s and young people’s work at the Theatre Royal and for building relationships with national and local organisations including colleges, community groups and schools, and delivering education outreach activities. The EYE will be responsible for the Guild of Players Youth Theatre, delivering and supervising workshops, and Guild of Players Youth Theatre productions.
