Imaginate: Board Members

Closing date: Fri 19 Apr 2024: 12pm

Imaginate is looking for four board members passionate about enriching children’s lives through theatre and dance.

Are you interested in contributing to a major arts organisation strategy and make a difference to the lives of children in Scotland? Do you bring an experience or perspective, which you think is under-represented at board level in cultural institutions? Do you feel you would benefit, on a personal and professional level from joining us? If one or some of the questions resonates with you, please consider applying.

Being a board member (or trustee) is a voluntary position. The board is primarily responsible for sound governance, as well as for overseeing the strategic and financial direction of the organisation, making sure we remain legally compliant at all times.

You don’t have to be an expert. They are looking to have a board team with a range of skills and experiences which complement each other. Travel and access costs to perform your duties will be covered.

You can find more information about the opportunity and how to apply here:
The application pack is also BSL interpreted.

If this opportunity sounds right for you, please submit a CV and cover letter to highlighting why you’d like to become a trustee, why you think you would benefit from this experience and what you think you can contribute to Imaginate (maximum two A4 sides) or a two minute video by Fri 19 April 2024, 12pm.

If you choose to submit a video, you won’t be judged on the quality of the footage or the editing. If you choose to submit a cover letter, you won’t be judged on your grammar/spelling mistakes.

If you’d like to discuss any questions or concern, please do so in confidence by contacting Belinda McElhinney, Chief Executive at Imaginate:
