Aberdeen Performing Arts is looking for proposals from young, professional and emerging artists to be part of Light the Blue 2025, their annual multi-artform festival for and by young people.
The next festival will take place from 1 – 15 June 2025 across Aberdeen with a programme of theatre, dance, music, visual arts, film and more.
Light the Blue 2025 will invite artists and audiences to step into the unknown – abandoning expectations, exploring fresh ideas and embracing new experiences.
They’re committed to creating a relevant, inclusive and inspirational festival that represents the diversity of young people in Aberdeen and beyond. They’re looking for ideas that put young people’s voices above anything else, offer a unique experience to young audiences and enable emerging artists to develop their craft. Put simply, they want to hear the most exciting ideas and support you to make them a reality.
They’re looking for proposals from:
– Young people and groups aged 5 – 25 interested in performing and presenting new material in indoor and outdoor locations.
– Professional artists interested in performing and presenting interactive, pop-up and studio work for young audiences in indoor and outdoor locations.
– Emerging artists aged 18-30 interested in presenting new work at various stages of development in indoor locations.
