Due to continued growth, Livewire Theatre Company is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Drama & Musical Theatre Teacher to join their team on a part-time, freelance basis.

Livewire provides high-quality performing arts training for children and young people in Troon, Stewarton and Newton Mearns. Their weekly programmes combine structured Drama and Musical Theatre training with opportunities to work towards productions, showcases and community performances. 

THE ROLE

They are looking for someone who is passionate about performing arts education and confident working with children and young people. The role will include: • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Drama and Musical Theatre classes • Leading scene work, creative exercises, performance material and rehearsals • Teaching appropriate Musical Theatre repertoire and choreography • Preparing pupils for productions, showcases and performances • Supporting individual development, confidence and creativity • Contributing positively to the wider Livewire teaching team

RATE OF PAY: £20-£25 per hour

Relevant performing arts qualifications and teaching experience are highly desirable. They also welcome applications from professional performers and industry practitioners with relevant experience working with children and young people.
