Perth Theatre is inviting young people aged between 14 and 19 to audition for its next Perth Youth Theatre mainstage production, the Tony Award-winning musical Into The Woods. The Theatre is running an Open Day on Saturday 31 August for anyone interested in in being part of the cast to sing through the songs, meet the creative team, and hear more about the production.

Perth Youth Theatre’s first full-scale mainstage musical, Into The Woods brings The Brothers Grimm to the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. Enchanting and touching with a darkly comic edge, Perth Youth Theatre’s Into The Woods is an opportunity for young people with an interest in musical theatre to work with a professional creative team of Director, Musical Director, Designer, and Vocal specialist and the wider Perth Theatre team on a full-scale production of the Tony Award-winning musical.

To sign up for the Open Day at Perth Theatre between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 31 August, complete the Open Day sign-up form by Thursday 29 August. Anyone who is interested in auditioning but cannot make the Open Day can still apply to audition by contacting the team at engagement@perththeatreandconcerthall.com.

Rehearsals for Perth Youth Theatre’s Into The Woods start on Saturday 21 September, with the show running in Perth Theatre from Thursday 13 until Saturday 15 February 2025. There is a £200 cost to take part and is only payable for those who are offered a role in the cast. Those who may face financial barriers will be able to apply for one of a limited number of bursary places.
