New artist initiatives and opportunities at Pitlochry Festival Theatre:
Artist Workspaces. Every Monday and Friday 10am – 1pm (from 15 May 2023) they are excited to welcome you to their new space in the front of house area where you can work against the backdrop of the Tummel and Ben Y Vrackie and get to know other local artists. This space is also very close to the new indoor play area and free WIFI is available.
Artist Meetups. Every Thursday at 6.30pm, from 8 June 2023, they launch Artist meetups where the new space front of house is made available for artists to meet informally and have discussions about new ideas and offer support to others in the artistic community. And you can also catch a show in the evening at 8pm most days during the summer.
Inspiration Hour. On the first Tuesday of every month at 10.30am (from 1 August 2023) they are offering artists the opportunity to sit in the Theatre’s main auditorium or Studio for an hour of quiet thinking. They hope this space to meditate in a working theatre environment will help generate new ideas. They continue to offer our Company-in-Residence, workshop, and rehearsal space opportunities.
Free to Create. On the first Monday of every month at 7pm – 9pm (from 5 June 2023) in the Rehearsal Rooms. Artists can come to Pitlochry to make work in the studio spaces. This is an open invitation for people to gather to share ideas and play in a rehearsal room environment.
Artist Open Days. All artists are welcome to come and join them for Artist Open Days to discuss schemes, projects, ideas, and ways for you to work with Pitlochry Festival Theatre
They held their first Open Day on 25 March and the next Open Artist Day will be in June 2023; they will announce the date shortly and look forward to meeting you then.
