Open call for proposals for mutual support events for the Network Q Marginalised Freelancers’ Network in Glasgow.
The goal of Network Q is to connect creative freelancers facing systemic barriers and challenges, and to facilitate a culture of community care, solidarity and mutual support. They will do this partly by developing a programme of events in which Network Q members are paid to deliver something for the collective benefit of the wider Network – and they want to hear from you.
They have budget for five events, with the fee for each being £310. This is expected to be broken down as one half day for planning and a half day for delivery.
Pitch your idea for something you could offer that would benefit fellow creative freelancers, including the following information:
• Who are you? Tell them a bit about yourself and your creative practice.
• What is your idea?
• How will your idea support the wider Network Q member community?
• Would you prefer your event to take place on a Wednesday evening, a Saturday afternoon, or a Saturday evening?
Send them this information in whatever format suits you by email to info@plutoq.com with your name and the words “Network Q” in the Subject line. They will be able to consider up to 1000 words total of written information per proposal, OR up to eight minutes of audio / video. You may also send us up to three images to add context to your pitch if you like.
The deadline for pitches is midnight, Fri 30 May 2025. They will curate a programme of five complementary offerings and get back in touch to let you know if your idea has been chosen or not. You will hear from them by 6 June 2025.
You must be a registered member of Network Q (https://www.plutoq.com/networkq/) to apply. Joining the network is completely free and requires only your name and email address. Please make sure the email you apply from is the same email address you used when you signed up.
